A few years ago, the pastor of my parish, St. Catherine’s, posted a set of prayers for the Holy Souls for each day of the week. I don’t know who authored the prayers, but God bless him or her! I am going to post them each day for you and hope you pray them often, and not just throughout November. Today is day three.
Prayer for Tuesday
O Lord God Almighty, I pray Thee, by the Precious Blood which Thy Divine Son Jesus shed in His bitter crowning with thorns, deliver the souls in purgatory and especially that soul amongst them all which would be the last to depart out of these pains; that it may come to praise Thee in thy glory and bless Thee forever. Amen.
Our Father…Hail Mary…Glory Be…
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
